APPI Power is the International Paramotor and ParaTrike Association responsible for licensing Pilots, Tandem Pilots, and Instructors around the world.
All of FlyParatrike's courses follow the official APPI ParaTrike Training Syllabus — a comprehensive, step-by-step programme designed to take students from their very first day to certified pilot status in a safe and professional environment.
Training takes place at our base in Murtosa, Portugal 🇵🇹 — with Bornos, Spain 🇪🇸 coming in the second half of 2026.
Your introduction to paratrike flying. From ground handling and theory through tandem lessons to your first solo flight.
Advanced theory, progressive flight programme, cross-country navigation, and your APPI Pilot certification.
Your first six days in the world of paratrike. You'll learn everything from ground handling to your first solo flight.
Your final six days. Advanced theory, progressive flights, and cross-country navigation — earning your APPI certification.
Upon completion, your APPI ParaTrike Instructor submits a validated application to APPI Power with your completed logbook and documentation.
After review, APPI Power issues your APPI ParaTrike Pilot Certification Card — your internationally recognised licence to fly.

With over 20 years of flying experience across three continents and more than 1,000 students trained, Ricardo is one of the most experienced paramotor and paratrike instructors in the world.
A seasoned expedition leader, he has organised and led large-scale international projects across South America, Europe, Asia, and the Middle East — from the Amazon to the UAE. Certified as both Paramotor and Paratrike Master Instructor and Tandem, he brings calm, decisive leadership and a structured, safety-first approach to every course.
Complete beginner to certified APPI ParaTrike Pilot
Training takes place at our base in Murtosa, Portugal 🇵🇹 — one of Europe's best flying locations. Maximum 4 students per block for personalised attention.
Sundays are rest days with optional free-flying practice. Both Course 1 and Course 2 run in each block.

✈️ May is ideal for ParaTrike training — calm mornings perfect for early flights, gentle afternoon breezes, and long daylight hours. Murtosa, Portugal offers some of the best flying weather in Europe.
Early start to make the most of calm morning conditions. Flying, ground school, or practical training depending on weather.
Rest, theory review, or free time while thermal activity peaks.
Back in the air as conditions settle. More flying, exercises, and debriefing.
