No! Course 1 is designed for complete beginners with zero flying experience. We start with the fundamentals and progress at your pace.
Everything you need: all equipment (ParaTrike, wing, helmet, radio), 2 tandem flights, all theory sessions, 5 skills assessments, your first solo flight, and APPI certification. Accommodation and meals are not included.
Basic fitness is required for ground handling the wing and running during takeoff. If you can jog 20 meters comfortably, you'll be fine. Weight limit is 110kg (242 lbs).
Safety is paramount. If conditions aren't suitable for flying, we'll use the time for ground school, theory, and equipment practice. Most students complete the full course within the 6 days, but we can extend if needed.
Absolutely! If you've completed Course 1 AND achieved your first solo flight AND passed all skills assessments, you can progress directly to Course 2 (APPI ParaTrike Pilot Level). Many students book both courses back-to-back with our Full Programme Bundle (£3,200 - Save £200!) to maintain momentum.
You'll receive the APPI Open Sky & Adventure Pilot certification and official APPI logbook, recognized internationally. This qualifies you to fly under supervision and is the prerequisite for Course 2.
